This is a private summer tour in southeast Iceland, guided by Sindri — a local guide from Höfn with more than a decade of experience guiding on the glaciers and ice caves of Vatnajökull.
Instead of following a fixed group itinerary, the day is planned around you: your interests, your pace, the weather, the light and the local conditions. We can use the day for a Super Jeep adventure, a private glacier hike, a photography-focused tour, or a custom route through quieter places around Vatnajökull, Jökulsárlón, Höfn and the southeast coast.
Sindri was born and raised in southeast Iceland and knows the area not just as a guide, but as home. Over the years he has guided visitors across glaciers, into natural ice caves and through landscapes that change with every season. The goal is not to rush between famous stops, but to create a private day shaped by local knowledge, safe decisions and the kind of places most visitors would not find on their own.

This is a flexible 6–8 hour private day. Before the tour, Sindri will ask about your group, interests, fitness level, photography goals and where you are staying. Based on that, he will suggest a plan that fits the season, the weather and the conditions on the day.
The final route is always confirmed close to the tour date, because summer weather, road access and glacier conditions can change quickly in southeast Iceland. If the original plan is not the best option on the day, Sindri will adjust the route and choose the safest and most rewarding alternative.

Yes. This private tour is designed for the summer season. Winter private ice cave or photography requests can be handled separately.
How long is the tour?
A normal private day is 6–8 hours. Multi-day tours can also be arranged by request.
What can we do on a private tour?
The day can be built around a Super Jeep tour, private glacier hike, photography, local landscapes, quieter viewpoints or a combination of these. Sindri will suggest a route based on your interests, the weather and the conditions on the day.
Do you pick up from Reykjavík?
No. This tour is based in southeast Iceland. Meeting point or local pickup is agreed after we know where you are staying.
Is the price per person?
No. The price is for the private tour day. Final details depend on the group size, route and activity type.
What happens if the weather is bad?
We always plan around safety and local conditions. If the original route is not suitable, we adjust the plan where possible. If the tour cannot run safely, we offer a reschedule or refund according to the agreed booking terms.
