Natural blue ice caves and changing glacier conditions
Every cave we visit is naturally formed inside Vatnajökull. The size, colour, shape and access route can change through the season as the glacier moves and weather affects the area.
Our guides make daily decisions based on weather, road access and glacier conditions. If one route or cave is not safe, we choose another safe option when possible. If Glacier Trips cancels the tour for safety reasons, guests can reschedule or receive a full refund.
Natural ice caves in Iceland are popular, so other groups may be in the area at the same time. We plan our route and timing carefully so guests get the best possible experience under the conditions of the day.
